Custom Playground Design: Keys to Success

In the world of commercial playgrounds, the opportunity to be custom offers a distinct advantage to a community. It also comes with its challenges. Embedded in every custom project is the desire to be unique, while also balancing the needs of the community in areas such as physical fitness and fun, safety, inclusivity, social interaction, imagination and creativity, cognitive development, sensory development, nature integration, age-appropriate zones, and community engagement. A panel discussion with PlayPower's Vice President of New Product Design Joe Palermo and Matthew Fallows, Director of Design and Innovation, will dive deeply into that journey through the eyes of the equipment manufacturer and designer, and what it takes to be successful in the end.

At the end of the course, the participants will be able to:

Describe what makes a custom project different from a typical playground project and how you can guide your customer or client through the process.
Speak to how to balance aesthetics and play value in a custom product solution.
Navigate installation, assembly, or quality issues in the field through the use of defined specifications.
